 Requirements :

     Bachelors Degree

     5-8 yrs progressive accounting experience                   

    CPA preferred

    Preference given to private club experience & understanding of Jonas software

EGYC is a private member owned yacht club founded in 1907. There are 950 members and revenues of 4.5 million. Amenities include a marina with 70 boat slips, six lighted har tru tennis courts, 20,000 sq.ft. clubhouse, tennis building,  and casual grill. The club is family oriented with a broad range of ages. This is a very stable employer with many long term staff amongst the 85 employees.

Seeking candidates with  demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting, and human resources. The Comptroller reports to the General Manager and interfaces with the Club Treasurer and Finance  Committee  . There is also an interface with a CPA firm for the annual reviewed financial statements. Familiarity with form 990 is a plus.

Must have excellent people skills, be flexible, and a self starter. Candidates must be able to multi task while also being highly detail oriented.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Must provide excellent work and personal references, and a salary history. Health, dental, and vision benefits are available. There is an education allowance for professional development, 401K, paid vacation, and meals. The club is a Drug free workplace.

The Club is looking for candidates from Florida and the adjacent Southeastern states.

The starting date for this position is February 2011. The candidate will be replacing a tenured employee who is retiring after 20 years of service.

Position: Director of Sales

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide oversight and training to their sales and marketing staff
  • Meet sales and marketing objectives
  • Communicate effectively with corporate
  • Develop and maintain profitable and effective sales programs
  • Ensure the implementation of special events, promotional opportunities, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop budgets/projections for each market segment

They must have the following:

  • 7-10 years of experience preferably at an attractions property
  • 3-5 years of Senior Management experience
  • Knowledge of online distribution channels, GDS’s and Tour Companies
  • Be a true sales professional thus, results driven!
